11/30: Departing for good

Before and after...

Just a few hours before we leave for Buenos Aires via Madrid. Everything's packed up. 1 bag of 20kg, a foto bag and a small day-pack.

Packing tips:

• For hasslefree X-raying at airport: plastic belt buckle from Mammut (one less thing to worry while stripping)
  
• For immediate calory supply while driving: 1 kg bag of Basler Läckerli (stay "fresh" for a month)
• For undisturbed power supply: No grounded plugs or you'll carry one of those bulky adapters (Chile and Argentina have their own plugs but a two-pinned Euro-plug works everywhere)
  

Preparations - or not

Quitting my job back in March opened a great opportunity: After a notice period of 6 months it would have been October and I could have maybe visited Patagonia - a subconscious dream of mine for a long time. As it goes, I agreed to finish my project and add another two months of work. Now the end of work is approaching (end of November) and one month of holiday is getting closer.

In the middle of handing over my work to my successor at work I basically should be preparing for my trip, read books, book hotels etc. - I am not. Flight and car are reserved though, so we are save. I am making this trip with Claudio.
